Catholic Scriptures That Inspire, Comfort and Celebrate
The Catholic scriptures are a wide and varied body of works that cover subjects ranging from simple life advice to the Catholic history of the world's creation. Similar to the literature of many Christian denominations, Catholic scripture is assembled into a collective tome that includes letters and works that were written by individuals long before the advent of either the printing press or printed books. Many people simply refer to this collection of writings as the Bible.
The Catholic Church is the first of the two major western divisions of the Christian religion. The Protestant church is the second division. Because of the difference in writings and belief structures, Catholic scriptures are known well mainly in the United States and the United Kingdom. However, if one picks up a Bible at the local bookstore, then he needs to exercise caution to make sure the book in which he is interested is the one he actually wants. Because the Catholic Bible contains alternate texts and is different from other religious writings, it is necessary for the buyer to make sure the book he purchases contains the scriptures that pertain to his belief system.
